ABOUT US
Munzur University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Emergency Aid and Disaster Management was established in 2019 and commenced education in the Fall semester of the 2020–2021 academic year. The Undergraduate Program in Emergency Aid and Disaster Management provides professional education to students who graduate from high schools or equivalent vocational schools and gain admission to the program with their Quantitative (Sayısal) score obtained in the national University Entrance Examination.
Within the framework of the four-year undergraduate curriculum and in line with the main principles specified in Articles 4 and 5 (a and b) of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, the mission of the program is to train qualified professionals who are capable of working in “specialist” and “managerial” positions in all types of healthcare institutions and fire brigades; who know and can apply the fundamental methods used in the field; who are able to provide the required training to personnel within their units; and who have the competency to direct, coordinate, and manage the units they serve.
The vision of the program is to educate Emergency Aid and Disaster Management professionals who are equipped with contemporary qualifications, theoretical and practical knowledge, and skills required by technological, legal, and social developments in Türkiye and across the world, and who can meet the evolving needs of the sector.
