About Us

The Department of Nursing was established within the Munzur University School of Health by the Council of Higher Education's Decree No. 2010/367, published in the Official Gazette No. 27565 dated April 28, 2010. With Presidential Decree No. 968 dated April 17, 2019, and published in the Official Gazette No. 30749 dated April 18, 2019, our department, which was located within the Munzur University School of Health, was restructured within the Faculty of Health Sciences.

Our department began accepting its first students in the 2011-2012 academic year. We accept students who have achieved successful scores on the TYT and AYT exams, centralized exams administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), based on numerical scores. The program duration is four years, and there is no preparatory class.

Educated with approaches and methods based on science and technology; Our mission is to train nurses who can effectively fulfill their roles in care, education, research, management, consulting, and leadership in protecting, developing, and maintaining the health of individuals, families, and communities, within the framework of scientific principles. They are also highly skilled in communication, evidence-based work, critical thinking, crisis management, and responsibility. They are also sensitive to social issues.
